Irony in Action

From Kennesaw State University (near Atlanta, GA):
"Spaceship Earth" has crashed to the ground.

Barely three months after the $1 million sculpture was unveiled at Kennesaw State University, it collapsed in the middle of the night — all 175 tons — perhaps because of faulty glue.

What was intended as a gift for future generations rested instead as a pile of rubble Wednesday, blue rocks chipped and scattered in front of the Social Sciences building. The engraved phrase "our fragile craft" was visible amid the debris.

Even Ozymandias didn't suffer that indignity...

That's the way cookie crumbles, the rookie fumbles, and the "wise" are humbled. Alas, could this be a sign of the impending entropic decline of our Earth- expressed literally as "pieces" of the World crash unceremoniously to the ground? Ah yes, we return once again to the cyclical Art imitating life, or life imitating Art debate. That IS textbook irony Tyler, thank you!
