The Clock Has Started
The countdown to launch the space shuttle on Thursday night (Dec. 7) has begun.
It will be a night launch - that hasn't happened in a while.

I was able to attend a nighttime launch with my wife and kids back in November 2000. It was an incredibly awesome experience.
However, the drive back to Orlando was miserable. The first five miles took over 2½ hours due to the press of vehicles.
