Submitted For Your Perusal

Victor Davis Hanson: "Ivory Cower."

Read. Discuss. Then tar and feather a university president.

You'll understand after you read it.

And if that's not enough campus political correctness, there's always this.

I think it's sad these days that people can't say something and then just defend themselves. Rather, a statement is made and special interest groups cry foul, demanding recompense (referred to in the article as "mandated retroactive compensation"). Regardless of the issue or statement made, I think that often a simple apology or "you misunderstood me" should suffice. But no, in this case, it's going to cost Harvard $50 million dollars.

Accordingly, he quickly renounced and denounced his own musings, promising task forces, "independent listeners," investigations, committees and ample largesse (including $50 million from Harvard's own bulging coffers) to be distributed to the purported victims of his insensitivity--who are in fact some of the most educated, privileged and upscale women on the planet.

Don't get me started on Mr. Churchill.
