Boy Scout Found

Some good news. Brennan Hawkins, missing in the Uinta Mountains since last Friday night, was found about noon MDT.

Nice to have a happy ending.

It's funny how much this had made the news. Only things that don't happen often make the news.

What a blessing for this family, who I am sure were heart broken.

Okay, not being in Utah, I haven't heard anything about this, but doesn't at least one boyscout get lost in the Uintas every year?

How do they get lost anyway? I was a scout for 6 or 7 years and never got lost- even when I tried.

National cable news channels have been showing the story all over the country...Fox News included.

I think Maine Man is right about getting lost. It takes a little effort, or a lot of panic. I'm just happy that the boy was found safe and well.

Do remember, this was just an 11-year old kid. A little panic at that age is understandable.

From what I understand, the area where he was finally found was over a ridge.

He was alone, at night, and got turned around and went the wrong way. All too easy.
