Pithy

Jay Nordlinger, writing in National Review Online:
An indication of how times have changed: When Philip Agee blew agents, he got some of them killed. When some Bushies revealed the identity of Joe Wilson’s wife, they got both of them in Vanity Fair.

And Bush is now widely seen as shady, shifty — Nixonian. That is an alarming and stupid reversal.

Jay Nordlinger can write an excellent sentence.

That's what makes his "Impromptus" so much fun to read - they're full of one or two-line observations like that.
